Third time was the charm-The first two times we tried to go, the restaurant was closed, but we finally got it right. We went on a Monday or Tuesday night and there was a short wait, but it was absolutely worth it. The drinks were tasty and potent. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back.
Pros: delicious food and great drinks
Cons: very open seating, so not a romantic spot, but nothing particularly bad about it either

I had heard about Bennett Pointe Grill from a friend so I decided to try it out for myself. We were promptly greeted by extremely friendly Host staff. I went on a friday night so it was busy but the wait was not bad at all! We waited for a table about 12 minutes at the most. The service was fantastic!! I have not had that great of service at any restaurant that I have ever been too. The food was delicious and the price was very reasonale especially for how much comes on one plate. I decided to try the chicken carbonara and it was out of this world!! I recommend EVERYONE to try out Bennett Pointe Grill at least one time, you'll be a fan for life!
Pros: the service, food, and atmosphere

Bennett Pointe Grill is a terrific value: the food is good and so is the variety (although the dinner menu seems to have more seafood selections than any other category). My wife and I were also very pleased with the prompt and courteous service. The interior is cozy with a great ambience for a meal. Highly recommended
Pros: Good food (including seafood), great service, overall great value
Cons: no significant

If you want a good selection of food that is not the usual sandwiches and soup go here. You will not be disappointed. The shrimp and grits is wonderful. The chicken salad sandwiches are excellent as well as the salmon. Great for a large group also.
Cons: Smoke lingers in bar

Based on its 9.1 score on the "best of" list and reviews on this site, I decided to try Bennett Pointe Grill with a friend a few weeks ago. I have to say that we were both quite happy with the experience we had, whether it be the service, price or the food itself. Though it was a busy and rainy Friday night and the place was packed, we only waited about 10 minutes for a table. Our server was very friendly and helpful and answered questions we had about the menu. I went with the Mango Chicken and my friend had the Pan-Seared Shrimp and Scallops. My dish was great, two nice chicken breasts cooked just right with fresh vegetables and wild rice. Though my friend could describe his dish better than me, he commented several times on how good it was. The bill was under $40 which included entrees, salads, bread and soft drinks. It was a very reasonable price for what we got. Though it was a little further down on Hillsborough Street than I had ever traveled, Bennett Pointe Grill is well worth the trip and I highly recommend it!
Pros: Variety of the menu...Great service...Reasonable price
Cons: Parking, depending on when you go

I ate At BPG about a year ago, and it was probably one of the most positive experiences that I have had at a restaurant. The food was delicious, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. A few months later, I recieved a part time job and looked forward to going in everytime I worked. I made a lot of new friends, and had a wonderful experience. The staff is always helpful to the customers, and has always put a smile on my face. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I just read a review about a very rude girl, and I think my wife and I encountered the same girl upon our entrance to this restaurant. when we sat down i asked our server the hostesses name and why she was so angry at the world. our server laughed and said, "well, she can be like that sometimes, I'm sorry" if this girl is continuing to be so rude to customers you might want to rethink her as a hostess. our server was very kind. however, we were seated in a table near the kitchen, and a group of waitstaff was standing near by. the rude girl was with them and talking very meanly about what is I assume to be another girl on the staff. now i realize how girls can be but doing that at someone's workplace is extremely unprofessional, especially in front of customers.
Pros: good service

This place by far has THE BEST seafood anywhere in Durham. My family and I tried the combination of fried oysters, shrimp and flounder. It was out of this world. The batter was just the right consistency and flavor. The flounder had a wonderful taste and the shrimp and oysters taste like the ones we get in Florida on vacation. The atmosphere was great as well. Plus we had very friendly and accommodating service. We can't wait to go back and try the other entrees.
Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere
Cons: Noisy

Upon arriving at The restaurant we encountered one of the rudest girls i have ever met in my entire life. The hostess is the first impression you develop of a restaurant, and based on this girls attitude, I wouldn't come back. Now I will say our waitress was friendly enough and the food was just fine, but the first initial rudeness that we recieved is what stands out in my mind when someone mentions Bennet Pointe Grill.
